Dr Mark Baldwin presents paper on participatory action research at King’s College London

13 May 2013

Dr Mark Baldwin recently presented a paper at King’s College London for the Social Work research organisation Making Research Count.

The seminar was entitled ‘Practitioner Research: realising its potential for improving social care services and practice’ and Mark’s presentation was entitled ‘Participatory action research - doing research with social workers to enhance practice development’.

Approximately 35 social work professionals and one or two academics and managers attended, debating the usefulness of participatory action research for both professional development and involvement of service users in researching service developments. Partnership for research between universities and public services was another principle theme for the seminar.
