Profile

Aurelie is lecturer in Global Political Economy and received a Master degree in Economics and Development, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Leeds, UK. She was also awarded the 2008 William R. Waters Research Grant and the 2010 Helen Potter Award from the Association for Social Economics, and the 2009 Kenneth Koford Memorial Prize from the Eastern Economic Association.

Research interests relate to the measurement of social norms, and their effect on individual decision-making and well-being, by combining critical theories with an innovative use of quantitative methods. Latest publications cover multi-disciplinary areas of research such as financialisation and the "Great Recession", fairness and efficiency wages, identity discrimination and entitlements, norms and beliefs, in different geographical and cultural areas such as Mexico, India, China, USA and Italy.
