Dr Palash Kamruzzaman
Profile
Palash comes from a multi-disciplinary background combining degrees in Anthropology; Sociology and Social Policy. Before joining the University of Bath, he has taught at the University of Leicester, Nottingham University, the University of Liverpool and Independent University, Bangladesh.
His works are aimed to advance the debate whether the idea of polyphonic and/or democratic society through the promotion of civil society and participation has been undermined with attached conditionalities of international aid especially within the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) framework. These also explore the roles of national level brokers in development.
Research interests
Palash’s teaching and research interests involve approaches to development, international aid and social policy, participation, civil society, social theory and research methodology.
