Department talks

Come to our Department talks on the day to find out more about our programmes - you will need to book to attend.

  • Social Work and Applied Social Studies
  • Sociology and Social Policy

Talks are given by academic staff from the Department of Social & Policy Sciences.

Can't attend the talk?

If the talk is fully booked then email the Open Day team (opendays@bath.ac.uk) as we will try to help fit you in.

If you are unable to attend a talk there are still plenty of things for you to do on the Open Day so it’s still worth attending.

What do the talks cover?
  • Introduction to the Department of Social & Policy Sciences and the subject area
  • Information on the programme content
  • The type of work set throughout the programme
  • Placements
  • Admissions information

There will be a question and answer session at the end of each talk.

During the information fair you will find academic staff from our department manning the stand to answer your questions.

You will be able to pick up our department brochure and find information on entry requirements.

You can find out about placement opportunities at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Placements stand.
