Nick Brook is Dean of the Faculty of Science. He is responsible for the leadership, management and development of the Faculty.

Nick was previously the Head of the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Bristol and the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at UCL before moving to Bath in 2016. His research area is experimental Particle Physics. He was one of the original signatories of the LHCb experiment at CERN. Nick was the computing project leader of LHCb in the lead up to data taking and had overall responsibility for the delivery of the software and the computing framework for the analysis of the data once it left the detector. Nick was a member of the management board of the CERN LHC Computing grid, the world's largest operational computing grid.

Besides his interest in the development of computing for Particle Physics detector his research includes the study of Quantum Chromodynamics and the development of novel particle ID detectors.
