Danaë Stanton Fraser is a Professor in Psychology at the University of Bath where she leads the CREATE Lab

Danaë joined the Psychology department at the University of Bath in 2004 as a Senior Lecturer following Postdoc positions at Reading and Nottingham Universities. She was promoted to Reader in 2006 and Professor in 2012. She has been a member of the University Senate since 2014. From 2010-2014 Danaë was Associate Dean for Research to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Danaë's research focuses on the design and evaluation of mobile and ubiquitous technologies for interactivity and learning. Her background is spatial cognition and virtual environments, she has a number of current programmes of work ranging from robotics and social interaction, developing internet of things applications to designing technologies for learning in school. Danaë's work in underpinned by a process of co-design with end users and industrial partners in the development and evaluation of technologies. Danaë has obtained grants from the EPSRC, ESRC, AHRC, charities and industry. Recently has been investigator on the AHRC REACT Hub; the EPSRC Being There project: Humans and robots in public space and the EPSRC Virtual Realities project. She has published over eighty papers in high-impact international journals and conferences. Danaë has held joint research grants with industrial partners including: BBC, BT, The Guardian, Microsoft, Vodafone, IBM, ScienceScope, Nokia, Aardman and HP. Danaë is a member of both EPSRC ICT Strategic Advisory Team and the EPSRC Digital Economy Programme Advisory Board.
