Election of staff representatives to serve on Academic Staff Committee

Nominations are invited for one vacancy for a staff representative from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from the Education and Research Job Family to serve on Academic Staff Committee from 1 August 2016 until 31 July 2018.

The member must hold a post at the level of Professor or Reader/Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow/Senior Teaching Fellow and not be from the Department of Economics which is already represented on the committee.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is Wednesday 17 August 2016 at noon.

Please note that the nominee, the proposer and the seconder must all be members of the relevant job family. A person nominated will be elected unopposed if no other nominations are received for the vacancy and if more than one nomination is received for any vacancy an election will be held.

Academic Staff Committee - the Academic Staff Committee makes decisions on behalf of Senate relating to the appointment and progression of  staff in the Education and Research Job Family. The Committee meets four times per year; the dates for 2016/17 are 20 September, 22 and 23 November, 21 February, 25 and 26 April and 13 June.
