Terms of Reference

  1. To review management information relating to a) the destination of University of Bath graduates and b) the provision of placements/work-based learning and to report the findings and any associated recommendations to University Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee.
  2. To develop and monitor those aspects of the Learning and Teaching Strategy related to the careers education and the employability skills development of students and to report the findings and any associated recommendations to University Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee.
  3. To monitor and make recommendations to University Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee on the direction of provision for placements and work-based learning across the Faculties/School.
  4. To identify and propose enhancements and disseminate good practice relating to careers education, employability skills development and placement and work-based learning.

Procedural Rules

Membership: The term of office for nominated members of the Committee is three years (renewable). In the event that a nominated member ceases to be eligible to serve, a replacement to serve for the remainder of their term of office will be nominated (renewable).
Co-option: At the discretion of the Committee in accordance with Senate Standing Order 16.
Alternates: Permitted in accordance with Senate Standing Order 17.
Quorum: One third of the membership of the Committee (Senate Standing Order 16).
Rules for Voting: None
Minutes: Submitted to University Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee.
