University of Bath Rag Charities Appeal: Charity Applications

If you are a member looking for this years applications, you need to login to the members area.

Mission and Vision

Bath Rag raises money all year round for specific charities or towards a general fund.

It comes to the end of January when local causes/charities and volunteer groups are asked to apply for some of the general fund that we've raised.

As a guideline, successful applicants will receive between £100 and £650.

Beneficiaries

The final decision of how much gets allocated rests with the members of Rag who have put the effort in all year around to raise the money - this process is done in a general meeting on 15th April 2008.

All successful applicants are then invited to the presentation evening where they get to hear about how the money was raised and to receive the actual cheques.

We will not usually donate (unless in exceptional circumstances) to charities that fall under the following headings:

* Political * Religious * Animal * non-UK

Area your organisation covers

The most successful applicants are those who are based within 30-40 miles of Bath (ie, Bristol, Chippenham, Warminster for example) but all are invited to apply.
