Summer Internships Fair arrivals

This information is for Employers who will be attending the University of Bath Summer Internships Fair - Friday 17 November 2017. (Event time 10am - 3pm, arrive from 8.30am)

Please use the information and links below that are relevant to you and ensure that this information is forwarded to all your staff attending on the day and any couriers you are using.

Where to find us

Postcode BA2 7AY. Please see our web page on travel advice. Maps of the campus and of the location of the University are also available online. If you are using public transport and taking a taxi from Bath Spa train station, please ask for the University at Claverton Down, as there are two Universities in Bath. The campus taxi rank drop-off point is directly opposite the hall that you are exhibiting in.

Venue

Founders Sports Hall. The hall is on ground level opposite the main bus stop. (On the 'Flat map of campus' the hall is light blue number 4.)

Couriers/deliveries and exhibitions companies

  • If you are using a courier to bring your stand/other goods, they may only deliver direct to the venue on the day of the fair. Please forward them these details and ensure that all goods are labelled with the client (not courier) name.
  • If you are using CES, Ian Wilson, MSI or Impressions – we will liaise directly with them regarding directions and your stand locations.
  • Couriers may gain access from 8am and must collect goods within one hour of the end of the fair (i.e. 4pm), as we cannot offer security of goods later than this.
  • All goods must be delivered direct to the stand you are allocated - NOT TO THE DOOR - and any cars must be moved to the car park as soon as unloaded. Vehicles must not remain in the unloading area whilst stands are erected, as we need to allow others to gain access.

Unloading

If your own staff are bringing your stand and/other goods in a car, then please follow the signage on the day for unloading. You must move cars to the East Car Park as soon as you have unloaded. A student helper will be on hand to assist you from 8.30am and again at the end of the day.

Parking

Parking on campus is at a premium and we have managed to secure a limited number of spaces only. If you have not booked a parking space in advance and require one, please contact us for a permit, and do not bring additional cars onto campus as there will not be space. Parking fines may be issued (by an external company) to any cars who park in the wrong area/without a permit.

Please ensure you enter the campus via the main entrance from Claverton Down Road. Ensure you report to the student helper before parking. One permit, if requested, will be emailed to your booking contact no later than two weeks before the fair. You must bring and display this in your windscreen on the day. Please follow the instructions on your permit.

Lunch

Lunch tickets for the numbers pre-booked only will be distributed on the day in your welcome pack. We cannot accept requests on the day for additional lunches, but there are various catering outlets/shops available in the Students' Union building itself or elsewhere on campus, for you to purchase any additional lunches. Each representative will be issued with a reusable voucher to obtain hot drinks throughout the day. Bottled water is also provided on each stand.

WiFi

WiFi is now accessible campus wide. The network 'The Cloud' is now broadcast throughout the University. The service is operated by Sky so people with a Sky account can automatically log in and other users can sign up by connecting through the 'TheCloud' and providing details to get an account.
