Sprint: Professional Development Programme for Women Undergraduates

Sprint is a well-established development programme for undergraduate women (and those who identify as female) at early states of their professional development and careers.

Across 3 action packed days, the programme covers a range of key development topics which include:

  • How to harness and use your personal power and influence
  • Understand organisation politics
  • Identify your values and personal strengths
  • Manage your time effectively
  • Learn how to use assertiveness positively
  • Build and manage your image, networking skills and confidence

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with inspiring role models and industry professionals.

When is the programme taking place?

The Careers Service is pleased to announce that The Sprint Programme will be running again on the following dates in June 2018:

  • Mon 4 June  – FULL DAY
  • Tue 5 June  – FULL DAY
  • Wed 6 June  – FULL DAY

To complete the Sprint Programme and gain the Sprint Certificate, you will need to commit to attend all of the three days. The programme will run from 9.00am-5.30pm on each day.

How to apply

We expect Sprint participants to be highly motivated, with a real desire to engage in the interactive development activities within the Programme. As part of the application you need to prepare and submit a 500 word summary of what you hope to achieve from participating in the Sprint programme.  Please email your application to Melanie Wortham at
