About the survey

The survey we are asking you to take part in is a short insight survey of everyone who has recently completed their studies at the University of Bath. The information you provide will be very useful to advise our current and future students about the opportunities that might be available to them immediately after their time at Bath. The responses will also help us to evaluate and promote our courses. The survey also gives you an opportunity to alert the University Careers Service if you still want help with careers-related issues.

If we don’t hear from you we will try to contact you again, possibly by phone, so please let us know if you change your email address or phone number. If we can’t get in touch with you at all, we may try to get information from someone else, either at the University or someone we can reach using the contact information you have previously provided. If you don’t want us to do this, or you don’t want to give us any information at all, please tell us.

What happens to your information

We publish anonymised summaries of the information showing how many graduates are in employment, which employers they have joined, the types of jobs they go into, and how many go onto further study. You can see this if you go to our website and click on Prospective Students.  We also send the information to your Faculty / School, Department and the Department of Development and Alumni Relations. Any contact details you provide will be used to update the University’s records. Analysed data may be used to monitor the success of our programmes – no individuals will be identifiable in any published data.

15 months after Bath: Graduate Outcomes Survey

A new national survey capturing the activities and perspectives of graduates is launching in December 2018. You will be among the first cohort of students who will be contacted roughly 15 months after you finished your studies.
To support the survey, we are required to hold accurate contact details for you. Your contact details will be used in order to contact you about this survey in due course.

The Graduate Outcomes survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, who have published more information for students as well as guidance on how your contact details will be used.
