Positive ambassador - you will be the first point of contact for new students to the University. Share your knowledge and experience of life in Bath to help new students, and make sure that their first impressions are positive. |

Patience - you will be working with students feeling jetlagged and frustrated at times - your patience and willingness to listen will make all the difference. |

| |
Cultural sensitivity - perhaps you can speak another language or have experience of living abroad? This is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world and you will need to be aware of some of the challenges that different students might face. |

Enthusiasm - we want mentors who are involved in volunteering, sports, societies, academic reps and every area of University life. |

Willingness to learn: you will receive training in mental health first aid and a mature attitude and being open to learning from others will be expected. |
