Library Survey
The bi-annual Library Survey is your opportunity to give your opinions on the effectiveness of the services offered by the Library - and to help to develop and enhance these services.
The Library Survey is run in other universities in the UK (and world-wide) so the University of Bath Library can measure quality comparatively and identify best practices.
How to take part
All students (and staff) are invited to complete the survey online.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. You're asked a range of questions about:
- frequency of use (e.g. ‘How often do you use the resources within the Library’)
- effect of the service (e.g. ‘Library staff who have the knowledge to answer users' questions’)
- information control (e.g. ‘Print and/or electronic journal collections I require for my work’)
- information literacy (e.g. ‘The library helps me distinguish between trustworthy and untrustworthy information’)
- the Library as a place (e.g. ‘Quiet space for individual work’; and ‘Space for group learning and group study’)
- overall satisfaction
You and your answers stay anonymous during the survey process and your contact details won’t be used for any other purpose.
How your feedback is used
The redevelopment of Level 2 and the provision of bookable group work rooms are just some of the changes informed by responses to this survey, to make us Better@Bath.
If you don’t take part in the survey
The Library wants to collect the views of as many students and staff as possible: if you don't take part, you won't be able to help improve Library services.
