National Student Survey
The National Student Survey (NSS) is your opportunity to give your opinions on what you liked about your time at the University of Bath, as well as things that you felt could have been improved.
How to take part
If you are a student in the final year of your undergraduate studies you receive an email in early February with an invitation to complete the survey online. The survey finishes in late April.
The survey should take no more than five minutes to complete. You will be asked a range of questions about:
- the academic support you received during your studies
- how you felt about the organisation and management of your programme
- any positive and/or negative comments you have about your experience
You and your answers stay anonymous during the survey process and your contact details won't be used for any other purpose.
What happens to your feedback
Each year, our academic departments and school work closely with the student Academic Reps from their Staff Student Liaison Committee to develop action plans to make us Better@Bath. These action plans are based on student feedback in surveys such as the NSS.
If you don't take part in the survey
The National Student Survey aims to collect the views of as many students as possible. If you don't respond to the invitation to take part you may receive a follow-up phonecall or letter.
Last year 72% of eligible students completed the survey, placing us nationally as one of the highest responses rates, just behind Loughborough University on 73%!
