Giving feedback anonymously

The data obtained from unit evaluation will be used to identify the areas of unit with which you are satisfied or dissatisfied.

Academic staff and student Academic Reps on Staff Student Liaison Committees work together to improve aspects of the unit that are in need of enhancement.

Open comments from student surveys including unit evaluations are not normally shared with students or the Students’ Union.  If there are open comments which it would be useful to share (eg if a number of useful suggestions have been made on the same theme), the unit convenor is responsible for removing any inappropriate comments and any information that would allow an individual to be identified.

All data is stored anonymously and securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Respondents to the survey will remain anonymous.

The analysis and reporting will be classified on the basis of the broad characteristics you provide to SAMIS when registering with the University of Bath.

Responding to the evaluation constitutes informed consent to allow the data you have provided to be used for these purposes only.

The results of every unit evaluation will be acted upon to improve that unit for the benefit of future students at the University of Bath.
