1. The University recognises the religious diversity of the University community and the important part which religion plays in the personal lives of many staff and students. The University also appreciates the need of particular religious faiths to have access to specialist facilities.
2. In considering competing demands for its limited resources, the University will give priority to the provision of facilities which can be used by a wide cross-section of the community.
3. The University will consider sympathetically any offer to provide resources for specialist religious facilities on campus and will endeavour to identify appropriate sites for such facilities. In certain circumstances, the University may choose to share in the funding of specialist religious facilities.
