Information for Staff

If you are a member of staff being approached by students for information, advice and/or support, please do not hesitate to contact any of the support services listed below or the Head of Student Services, Mark Ames, if you need to. You may also find the student welfare related policies and guidelines helpful.

Students are advised that if they need advice, help or support, there are a number of routes for doing so:

Academic - accommodation - anxiety - careers - cultural - dental - depression - disability advice - health - immigration - jobs - mental health - money matters - residences - security - spiritual

They are also advised that they can obtain support or express their point of view via:

If students are uncertain about who to approach, they are advised that staff and students in all these areas work closely together and will be able to refer them to the appropriate person. Alternatively information and advice is available from the Student Services Helpdesk. They are also advised that most difficulties are easier to address early on, and so are encouraged not to hesitate to seek support. Finally they are reassured that the service they receive will be professional, confidential, equitable and normally free of charge.

Please let us know if you have any ideas to offer on how to improve our services - we welcome constructive feedback! You can contact us using the links on the right.
