International Student Meeting Point
When you arrive we encourage you to come to the International Student Meeting Point in the 4 West Student Services Centre.
International orientation
The International Student Advice Team run the orientation programme to help you settle into life in the UK.
We organise a number of events to help you gain important information and meet other international students and students from your own country.
- the programme of activity is free
- we have a team of international student helpers to help you
- look out for the yellow t-shirts!
- helpers are all current students and will have lots of useful advice on how to settle in
- ask a helper if you have any questions.

Police Registration
Police registration is for all students who have a requirement to register with police stamped in their passport.
You will need:
- your passport
- a copy of your personal details from your passport
- £34 cash
- ID card (if you have one)
- 2 passport sized photos
- a copy of your visa or Biometric Residence Permit
- completed application form
The police are aware that many of you will have been here for more than 7 days.
