Credit structure

The units which make up our programmes carry a fixed number of credits to describe workload.

A typical undergraduate year consists of 60 ECTS credits. Most units carry 6 credits, but some carry fewer or more.

Exchange and visiting students will normally be expected to take between a minimum of 24 and a maximum of 30 credits per semester.

Acquiring credits

You will automatically acquire the credits for units which you pass. The pass mark for most units is 40%.

Remember that the marks and credits are different things: credits reflect workload; marks reflect performance.

It is not normally possible for Exchange and Visiting Students to re-take failed assessments. However, departments will consider individual requests on a case-by-case basis.
