Student profile
Kashima Samtani, from Delhi, graduated from the Bath MBA in 2004 and is now a partner with Mars Enterprises
Why Bath?
I was studying as an MSc student at the University of Exeter. But the ranking of the School of Management and the Bath MBA as well as the employment opportunities it opens made me choose Bath. I was hoping this would be the best way forward for employment opportunities and personal development. Also, I had heard really good things about how the University encourages international students and initiates a culture of collaboration with competition.
“ The experience of studying with such a different set of nationalities with diverse backgrounds was just brilliant. ”
Why did the MBA?
I already had an MSc in International Management from the University of Exeter. For me an MBA was the best choice as it gave me better employment opportunities.
What's best about Bath?
The experience of studying with such a different set of nationalities with diverse backgrounds was just brilliant.
Where are you working now?
Right now I am self employed. I am a partner in an Export Firm- Mars Enterprises. We export and manufacture ready made garments to USA and UK stores.
Where did you go after your graduation from Bath?
Four months after I graduated from Bath, I joined Accenture as an Analyst in Shareholder value analysis. Due to my International Experience and my Bath MBA degree I had an edge over other applicants and I could get a Job.
I worked in Accenture for almost a year but after that I joined my family’s business. In an Export firm there are lots of pressure situations and we have lot of deadlines to meet. The Bath MBA has taught me how to handle pressure and made me more efficient in multi tasking.
Can you recommend the University?
Yes for sure I will recommend the University.
