Societies & Alumni Chapter

Be part of the Korean community at Bath and beyond:

Korean Society

We have a very active Korean Society at Bath with a year round social and support programme. It provides a vital link between prospective and current Bath students. It is a great way to make friends at the University and get support during your time here.

The society meets regularly to host social events. You can join their group on Facebook for more information.

Korea Alumni Chapter

There is also a lively Korean Alumni Chapter based in Seol who meet at least twice a year to celebrate their connection to the University of Bath. They run a community site which hosts information about when they meet and what alumni have been doing since graduation. It is a great way to get information about the university experience and what it can achieve for you.

The chapter welcomes communication from prospective students. You can find out more on their website.

Foundation Programmes

High School Diploma

The High School Diploma is not sufficient for direct entry undergraduate study at the University of Bath. Students will be required to complete either an appropriate Foundation year or the first year of a Korea University degree. We offer an International Foundation Year which is ideal preparation for our undergraduate programmes. The Foundation Year is offered by 4 partner colleges in a range of locations. For more information please refer to the International Foundation Year.

Undergraduate Degrees

A Level or International Baccalaureate (IB)

We welcome applications from students taking A Level examinations and the International Baccalaureate (IB) for direct entry into our undergraduate programmes. Details of the grades or points required can be found in our undergraduate prospectus.

Postgraduate Taught Degrees

Bachelors degree (Haksa) from a prestigious university

We will consider holders of a Bachelors degree (Haksa) from a prestigious university for entry to a Masters degree programme. We are looking for students who have performed very well throughout their degree. Typically, students will have received A or B grades for most of their classes, and have an overall mark of 80%+ or a GPA of 3.0+.

A degree certificate in English must accompany the application.

Entry requirements vary according to the programme of study so please check our postgraduate prospectus for individual programme requirements.

Postgraduate Research Degrees

A Masters level qualification from a prestigious university

In many cases, we require a Masters level qualification from a prestigious university for PhD entry. We expect evidence of some research experience (for example through a Masters degree project).

Before applying to us, it is worth identifying a potential supervisor in the department to ensure that we have the expertise and resource you need.

We are a major research university in the UK and have a research portfolio of around £92m.
