Students taking  the Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) or Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Finishing Diploma) are not normally eligible for direct entry onto our undergraduate programmes.

We offer the one year International Foundation Year, which is ideal preparation for entering our undergraduate programmes.

Undergraduate degrees

A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB)

We welcome applications from students taking A Level examinations, European Baccalaureate and the International Baccalaureate (IB) for direct entry into our undergraduate courses.

Students with exceptionally high grades in the Devlet Lise Diplomasi or Lise Bitirme Diplomasi may be considered for direct entry onto certain undergraduate degree programmes, depending on the school attended and academic record.

Details of entry requirements can be found in our undergraduate prospectus.

Postgraduate taught degrees

Undergraduate (bachelor) degree

Holders of a bachelors degree from a prestigious university will be considered for entry to one of our masters degree programmes.

Entry requirements do vary from course to course, please check the postgraduate prospectus.

Postgraduate research degrees

Masters level qualification from a prestigious university

A masters level qualification from a prestigious university will in many cases be required for PhD entry. Evidence of some research experience (for example through a masters degree project) is expected.

Sponsorship

A number of external funding bodies exist to support masters level study in the UK. Any applicant seeking support is strongly advised to explore potential sources of financial aid available in their own country.

There are international agencies, government departments, charitable organisations and private companies that may be able to provide financial aid for certain programmes of study, and are all worth exploring.

You can also approach the British Council in your country to find out if they have any funding available.

Research Degree Scholarships

For MPhil/PhD students we provide both full and partial research degree scholarships and these are awarded on a competitive basis. Some are designated for certain research topics and others are offered on a university-wide basis.
