Other fees
The following fees are for the 2013-14 academic session:

Fees for industrially/externally-based candidates
Students registered as industrially or externally-based candidates for the degrees of MPhil or PhD in accordance with Regulations 16.3 or 16.5 are required to pay the ollowing fees:

Overseas students on fieldwork abroad
In cases where students liable for fees at the 'overseas' rate spend a minimum of six consecutive months engaged on field-work abroad, the fee for such a period will be 50% of the appropriate full-time rate.
The standard full-time fee will apply to any remaining part of the year spent in the UK.
Fees for 'writing up'
Continuation fee
Students who have completed the prescribed minimum period of attendance, have completed the work and require only minimal supervision and access to University facilities must pay a continuation fee of £580.
Administration fee
Students who have completed the prescribed minimum period of attendance, have completed the work and no longer require supervision and access to University facilities must pay an administration fee of £93.
Alumni discount
If you have graduated with a degree-level qualification from a previous programme at the University of Bath, you will be eligible for a discount of 10% on any part of your fees for which you are personally responsible.
We will apply the discount just before payment of the tuition fee is due. In the event that a studentship or sponsorship covering all or part of the tuition fee is awarded after the start of the programme, the discount will apply only to fees payable before the effective start date of the studentship or sponsorship, and only to fees not covered by the studentship or sponsorship thereafter.
Fees for staff
If you are an employee of the University of Bath, the cost of your programme will be 25% of the Home/EU fee.
