Doctoral training centres

The Centre for Digital Entertainment

Part of the Department of Computer Science, the Centre for Digital Entertainment is a joint venture with the National Centre for Computer Animation at Bournemouth University.

The Centre has been awarded around £6 million which will include up to 50 studentships for 2010/11 entry on an EngD programme in Digital Media.

The Doctoral Centre in Sustainable Chemical Technologies

The Departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering have been awarded over £7million from the EPSRC for the Doctoral Centre in Sustainable Chemical Technologies.

Up to 12 studentships are available starting in October 2012. These are for a four year integrated PhD studentship.

Management and Engineering

The School of Management and the Faculty of Engineering are part of a Doctoral Centre run by the University of Bristol.

There are several fully-funded studentships currently available.

South West Doctoral Training Centre

The South West Doctoral Training Centre is accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

It has been formed by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences together with the Universities of Bristol and Exeter and is one of the UK’s largest centres of postgraduate research training for social scientists.
