The Bath MBA
Designed for mature individuals with several years’ relevant, postgraduate management experience, The Bath MBA will challenge you to consider the complexity of the organisational context and reflect upon the links between business and society. The ethos of the Bath MBA is to look beyond business processes and techniques to emphasise self-awareness, intuition, cross-cultural sensitivity and entrepreneurship well as a socially responsible and ethical approach to business and management.

The programme's high contact teaching approach provides a stimulating, interactive and supportive learning environment. Students share knowledge from their diverse experiences which fosters the cross-fertilisation of ideas and debate on current business themes. The principles of action learning are applied within the teaching philosophy for the degree.
There is heavy emphasis on the output of the degree ensuring personal effectiveness and powerful outcomes for both individuals and sponsoring employers and creating well rounded, critical-thinking managers. The programme has been designed to ensure graduates have the skills to manage in a complex, rapidly changing world while also benefiting from the internationally respected research expertise of Bath’s faculty.
Academic entry requirements
A degree at First or Second Class Honours level, or equivalent classification/GPA, awarded by an approved institution or a final qualification of a professional body accepted to the University. For individuals whose academic background does not meet our minimum criteria or who are at the margins of 3 years' relevant, post graduate, management experience, we require a GMAT score in excess of 600.
Candidates whose first language is not English will normally require an IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 7.0 in each of the components.
Unique funding opportunities
A range of funding opportunities are available to applicants of the Bath MBA ranging from staged payments to full scholarship. Self-funded candidates can be considered for School of Management scholarships on the strength of their application documents. Externally supported scholarships may have their own requirements. Applications for funding are considered in the order received and decisions are made promptly to enable candidates to plan for their study.
