When reviewing university applications, universities and admissions officers often look for evidence of an applicants dedication to their chosen subject.
Attending subject specific lectures and events can be included within personal statements. It allows applicants to show interest in the subject and apply university level knowledge to their statement.
Events and activities
Our school liaison teams work closely with academics to provide a wide range of subject specific opportunities for schools and colleges.
Each faculty and department also has academic staff designated as school liaison leaders.
We can offer subject specific university taster sessions for students considering applying to university, or events and tutoring designed with raising attainment in mind. Our events and activities include:

Application requirements for degree programmes can vary considerably from subject to subject - and between institutions.
Our admissions experts can work with your schools and colleges to offer sessions for students on how to get into specific subject areas.
These talks can include:
- exploring subject options available
- explaining subject specific application terminology
- common entry criteria including recommended subject combinations and experience required
- what to include in the personal statement
- where their career may lead after graduation, including if additional study after degree is needed.
