Residential areas
There are a few different local areas where students renting in the private sector choose to live off-campus. You can read more about each area in the Bath Student Accommodation Guide.
City centre
Living in the city centre has many advantages with shops, pubs and clubs on the doorstep. The area has stunning architecture and is a fantastic place to live. However, this does mean some of the properties have less in the way of modern conveniences and rents are higher than average. The city centre has doctors surgeries, dentists, post offices, etc. More about living in the city centre.
Combe Down
Combe Down is generally a quiet and friendly place to live, although North Road can be a bit noisy. It is a residential area of mainly semi-detached or terraced housing, with local shops and pubs.
