Paying for your fees

UK and EU students do not have to pay tuition fees upfront.

The Government will provide a tuiton fee loan which you do not have to repay until you are employed and earning £21,000 per year.

If you are an international student or do not wish to pay for your fees using a tuition fee loan then you will need to pay your fees to us directly.

Fees

The UK Government funding and support framework is changing for 2012. We are responding to these national developments as detailed below.

Home/EU fees for 2012

We have set fees of:

  • £9,000 for campus-based, UK/EU students starting courses in 2012/13
  • £7,500 for all foundation degrees offered at our partner colleges
  • £2,500 for placements, with the exception of placements as part of the MChem, MPharmacology and the undergraduate programmes in the School of Management which will have a fee of £4,500.

These fee levels have been approved by the Office for Fair Access (OFFA).

Fee Status

If we offer you a place, we will decide whether you are a UK/EU or overseas student for fees purposes. We will then be in a position to give you more detailed information on the costs of your programme of study.  Find out how we determine tuition fee status.

Funding and Scholarships

Our 2012 Financial Support Package offers fee waivers and bursaries for those who need it most.

Many UK students are entitled to grants to help towards the cost of fees and can take out student loans to help cover other costs.

There are also many scholarships and bursaries available to our students.

Living Costs

You should consider the cost of accommodation and other living expenses.  Take a look at our rough guide to living costs based on last year's values.
