BP STEM scholarships

The BP STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) scholarships are worth £5,000 per academic year, excluding placement years.
They are open to UK, EU and international students studying selected courses.
What will you discover?
BP relies on talented and ambitious engineers and scientists and works closely with the University to support careers in the oil and gas industry.
Being a BP scholar will guarantee you an intern or graduate interview.
As part of this programme BP is delighted to be able to offer up to 10 science, engineering and mathematics students a £5,000 scholarship each year for the duration of your degree*.
As well as financial support, being a BP scholar gives you a unique opportunity to experience first-hand what we do, including:
- using the latest technology to find oil and gas
- building platforms in the ocean
- developing low carbon fuels and lubricants
You’ll also be invited to join BP for exclusive events and experiences and meet their graduate Challengers.
Meanwhile, back on campus, there’ll be opportunities to meet interns who have spent a summer or a year with BP and who may now be in their final year at the University of Bath before joining us again as graduates.
If you're interested in discovering even more, being a BP scholar will guarantee you an intern or graduate interview later on in your degree.
BP scholarships are open to first year students only and are awarded on the basis of an online application form, short online numerical and verbal tests and a face-to-face interview (date to be confirmed).
How to apply

If you are eligible to apply you'll be invited to submit an application by the University after your A Level exam results and your place to study has been confirmed.
