Our student-led campus tours

Tours last approximately 75 minutes and include a visit to the following points of interest:

  • Students' Union
  • Student Services
  • Library
  • Sports Training Village

As the tours take place during term-time, we won’t be able to take you into individual academic departments or around the student accommodation. There will still be plenty for you to see and you'll get a feel for campus life.

You can find out more about the accommodation on offer at the West Accommodation Centre, so why not plan to make this part of your visit? Find more information about accommodation services.

If you'd like to visit an academic department, please contact the relevant department to see if this may be possible. Some departments organise departmental tours for groups of applicants over the summer and during the application season, so it may be worth contacting departments in order to see if you can join an existing tour.

Please note that if you apply to study here, your department will invite you to a Department Open Day (UCAS Day).

If you would prefer to visit the University at another time, please see our information on individual visits.

If you have any questions about these campus tours please email outreach@bath.ac.uk or call 01225 384281.

Tours will require you to walk round the campus so comfortable footwear is advised. If you, or anyone accompanying you, has a disability or any other special needs please advise us when booking your place. This will allow us to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure your visit is as easy as possible.

Our campus tours are primarily for prospective students and therefore we advise that you only bring one or two guests with you; this will enable us to maximise the number of places available. Places are limited and it is advisable to book at least one week in advance.

Individual visits

We have an open campus policy, which means you can come and take a look around by yourself throughout the week without having to book.

It's not a guided tour so it is best to visit during the week when most of our buildings are open. Do note that they're often in use during term time, so you won't be able to explore everything.

Contacting departments

If you'd like to chat to someone about a specific course, contact the relevant department a few days before your visit to see if a member of staff is available.

Please note that if you apply to study here, your department will invite you to a Department Open Day (UCAS Day).

Maps and tours

Call in at the reception desk in the Library (you'll find it on the Parade in the centre of campus) to grab a campus map and get some advice about finding your way around.

Accommodation

Although you won't be able to see inside our accommodation, you can pick up some handy information from the West Accommodation Centre.

Residential Uni Taster

If you want to experience life as a University of Bath student, come along to one our Residential Uni Tasters, where you'll have the opportunity to explore our friendly campus and get a sense of what it's like to live and study here.
