Individual Visits

We strongly recommend visiting the campus on an Open Day as many facilities are on view, which are not available during an individual visit. If you have booked a place on a talk at the Open Day and can no longer make it, please let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else.

However, if you are unable to attend an Open Day, we have an open campus so you are welcome to come any time but please be aware that lecturers have teaching and research commitments so it may not be possible for you to meet with an academic member of staff.

Planning your visit

We have an open campus policy, which means the campus is open to all visitors throughout the week. You do not need to register your visit and are free to look around.

Contacting departments

It may be possible to make an appointment to talk to someone about a specific course, please contact the relevant department directly to see if staff are available.

Maps and tours

When you arrive, you may wish to call in at the reception desk in the library (on the parade in the centre of campus), where you will be able to obtain a campus map and advice about finding your way around. Whilst you are there you can take a tour of the library.

Accommodation

It will not be possible to view inside accommodation on an individual visit. However, on weekdays, you can visit the West Accommodation Centre to pick up information on the accommodation we offer.

Access to buildings

Most buildings are open during the week but are often in use during term-time so access may be limited. Access to buildings on the weekend is more limited.

Department Open Days (UCAS Days)

Please note that once you have applied to us, your department may invite you to attend a Department Open Day (UCAS Day).
