Open Days in 2017
Our next Open Days are on:
- Thursday 15 June 2017
- Friday 16 June 2017
- Saturday 16 September 2017
We will open online booking for our talks and tours before the next Open Days.
Register your interest in a 2017 Open Day and we will email you when booking opens.
Our Open Days run from 9.30am to 4pm.
You'll find Welcome Points in our West and East Car Parks, outside the Library and at the bus stop. Look out for our Student Ambassadors and staff in red T-shirts who will be there to welcome you.
The Information Fair is the heart of the Open Day and is the place to pick up information, ask questions and meet staff from academia, admissions and support services.
Don't forget to talk to our current students - they're the best people to give you an idea of what living and studying here is actually like.
Talks and tours
We put on a range of talks and tours on the day. These include: academic sessions, information on finance and a talk for parents and friends.
If you're living away from home for the first time, settling in and making friends is extremely important. Living in a University residence gives you an amazing opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds who are studying a whole range of subjects.
Take a look around our student accommodation, between 9.30am and 4pm, to see where you could be living. There is no need to book, you can just drop-in on the day.
For our 2017 Open Days, we are introducing the chance to visit our City Centre University accommodation as well. We have 400 rooms based in the city centre. If you would like to take a look around our John Wood accommodation, please fill in our short form to express your interest.
Visit the Accommodation stand at the Information Fair to find out more about room allocations and costs.
University isn't all about studying. The Students' Union forms an important part of your experience and we're proud it is one of the best in the country. It offers an exciting programme of entertainment and a diverse range of sports clubs and societies. During the day you'll come across some of these societies, giving you a taste of what you can get involved with.
Sports facilities tours
Catch a guided tour of the Sports Training Village (STV) to see the facilities you'd be able to enjoy as a student here, whatever your sporting ability.
Tours run every 30 minutes from the STV entrance and there's no need to book. Our sports facilities are used by students, staff and local community, alongside elite performance athletes.
Our library is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can explore it on one of our hourly guided tours starting from 10.30am. Just drop in to join, or alternatively take a self-guided tour.
