The School of Management's highly successful BSc in Accounting and Finance, known among students and staff as BAF, provides a solid grounding in the core management disciplines whilst offering specialist knowledge for those wishing to pursue a career in accounting or finance. The degree has a number of distinctive elements:
- year one provides a solid grounding in the basic management disciplines in modules shared with BSc Business Administration students
- opportunity to spend a semester studying in a prestigious partner business school in Europe, the USA, Canada or Asia.
- the four-year programme includes a year of professional work experience where you will undertake a job in one of the 150+ companies we have links with.
Teaching and learning
You will experience a variety of teaching methods including lectures, seminars, tutorials, project work, and presentations.
Each student is allocated a personal tutor where one-to-one academic support is given to help you with your learning throughout the duration of your course.
The University’s online learning support system, Moodle, is available to all students.
Methods of assessment
The majority of units are assessed by formal examinations while some are coursework-based.
