Our placements offer you the opportunity to work in leading engineering businesses, develop your skills in a commercial environment and use sophisticated equipment. Recent placement students have had access to helicopters, particle accelerators, nuclear submarines, industrial robots and supercomputers.
Our dedicated placement team will help you throughout the placement application process and during your year in industry.However, we cannot guarantee that a particular placement will be available or that you will be able to earn a particular salary; applications for placements can be very competitive.

Placements can contribute to gaining professional status and allow you to make valuable contacts in industry, both of which can significantly improve your job prospects. Placement salaries usually range from £15,000 to £20,000.
