Admissions process

Admissions statement

Once you have sent your application to UCAS, your form will be considered by the Electronic and Electrical Engineering admissions team. Each application is given individual consideration, paying particular attention to the subjects studied, the reference and the personal statement. Factors such as academic achievement and potential, your skills and aptitudes. and your motivation and commitment will all be considered.

Applications received before the UCAS deadline of 15 January 2012 will be guaranteed equal consideration. 

A decision will be made on whether to make you an offer as soon as possible.  You will be notified by UCAS as soon as a decision has been made.

Deferred entry

The Department views gap years positively and we are happy to consider applicants who are asking for deferred entry.

Open Days

Invitations will be sent to applicants to attend an Open Day between November and March. Students are strongly encouraged to take this opportunity to meet us in person, talk to some of our current students, and at the same time see the University and City of Bath.

Applicants from outside the UK are also welcome to visit the Department and are encouraged to email the Department beforehand to arrange an individual visit.

Interviews

Generally applicants will not be required to attend an interview.

Selection tests

In normal circumstances, applicants will not be required to sit additional selection tests.
