Placements
Year abroad
This programme includes a mandatory year abroad during the third year. You can spend this year:
- undertaking a study exchange at a foreign university (usually an exchange with one of our current ERASMUS partners)
- working as a language assistant in a school
- on a work placement.
You can also have the flexibility for a combination of any of these options.
The year abroad assessment contributes towards your final degree classification.
Our dedicated and experienced Placements Officer will support and guide you through the recruitment process to gain your placement.

- Simmons & Simmons (France)
