Admissions process

Admissions statement

To submit a formal application for the FdSc in Sport (Sports Performance) it is necessary to apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

However, applicants are advised to contact the relevant performance coach within their sport prior to completing a formal UCAS application.  Please click on the link for contact details of the appropriate coach within each sport: www.teambath.com

Applications are welcomed from mature applicants (over 21 years).

In addition, applicants must have a proven sporting performance in at least one sport which will be at the discretion of the relevant performance coach.  Selection on to the programme will be subject to the agreement.

Applications received before the UCAS deadline of 15 January 2012 will be given equal consideration. Applications received after this date are unlikely to be considered. A decision will be made on whether to make you an offer as soon as possible but in some cases your application may be held until after the 15 January so that it can be considered alongside other applications received before the deadline. You will be notified by UCAS as soon as a decision has been made and we will let you know if your application is being held.

Selection tests

Applicants must also have a proven sporting performance in at least one sport, this must be indicated within your personal statement on application. Some sports (e.g. football) may require applicants to attend a trial. Please contact the appropriate coach (details on the TeamBath web pages) or the Admissions Tutor to check arrangements for your sport.
