Sports Performance
Entry requirements
This programme is aimed at students already performing at a very high standard in a chosen sport.
Applicants are advised to contact the relevant performance coach within their sport prior to completing a formal UCAS application. Please click on the link for your sport on the Team Bath webpages for contact details of the appropriate coach.
Selection tests:
Applicants must have a proven sporting performance in at least one sport; this must be indicated within the personal statement on application. Some sports (e.g. football and rugby) may require applicants to attend a trial.
GCSE requirements:
Applicants should have a minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) in English Language and mathematics
A Levels
Typical Offer: CCC
Differentiated offers may be made to applicants who are studying additional relevant Level 3 qualifications alongside their A Levels, for example: BTEC, OCR National Certificates, NVQs or Advanced Apprenticeships.
- General Studies is excluded
- Languages which are intended for non-native speakers are not normally acceptable when taken by native speakers of that language.

Access to HE Diploma
Typical offer:
Pass the Access to HE Diploma (with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3). You must also achieve GCSE equivalence in English and maths if equivalent qualifications have not already been achieved.
BTEC
Typical offer:
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma - MMM
BTEC Level 3 Diploma - DD
Differentiated offers may be made to applicants who are studying additional relevant Level 3 qualifications alongside their BTEC qualification, for example: A Levels, OCR National Certificates, NVQs or Advanced Apprenticeships.

Combined Level 3 Qualifications
We welcome applications from students studying a combination of Level 3 qualifications, such as A Levels, BTEC Level 3s, OCR National Certificates, Level 3 NVQs and Advanced Apprenticeships. Please contact admissions@bath.ac.uk to discuss whether your combination is suitable for entry to this programme.
International Baccalaureate
Typical Offer: 28 points
Welsh Baccalaureate
We welcome applicants offering the Welsh Baccalaureate Core alongside their Level 3 qualifications; we are aware of the range of skills and qualities which it develops and of the additional work which it demands. A differentiated offer may be made to these applicants.
