Narrative, storytelling and psychoanalytic approaches to studies of professional identities Professor Yiannis Gabriel has carried out research with different professional groups including health professionals, airline pilots and professional coaches. He has also carried out research on unemployed professionals in late career and their attempts to resume their lives. A large part of Yiannis’s work involves narrative, storytelling and psychoanalytic approaches to studies of professional identities. At a more sociological level, Yiannis has explored flexibility, downsizing and deskilling in connection with the work of professional employees. |
