The WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire was designed for use in Britain by an international collaboration on quality of life working through the World Health Organisation. It is being used to study health and health care. It contains 26 questions about many different aspects of your quality of life, with some additional questions about you and your health. The WHOQOL-Bref has already been completed by more than 15,000 people world wide in over 40 different languages. You are invited to complete this questionnaire as part of a research program looking at the quality of life of English-speaking adults today. Participation in this survey is voluntary and you are free to stop completing the questionnaire at any time without giving a reason. The information that you give us will be treated in the strictest confidence by the WHOQOL research team at the University of Bath and it will not be possible to identify you individually in any reports published that arise from this research. The anonymized information that is collected may be shared with our international collaborators for research purposes. The collected results will enable us to find out more about the quality of life and health of people in our community in Britain, and worldwide.
