This particular Fulke Greville (the name is common in the family of the Earls of Warwick) was a friend of Sir Philip Sidney and very proud of the fact. He was a rather good poet and was eventually murdered by a servant, apparently for money, in Warwick Castle, where he has now been reduced to a tourist attraction.
