The 3L programme launched on 10 January 2019, hosted by training provider PeoplePlus.

The University is running two levels of training; Level 5 for those already in a management role, and Level 3 for those aspiring to management. There are 14 members of University staff taking part in each course.

Delegates will learn about topics including Building Relationships, Leading People, Operational Management, Project Management and Finance, amongst others. The programme will be delivered through a range of methods including classroom training, job shadowing, project work, and online learning.

Edward Webster, Deputy Director of Workforce Development, said of the training:

We are pleased to launch the pilot of the 3L Programme here at the University. This programme gives our staff the opportunity to develop their skills, support their career progression, as well as increasing their confidence.

3L will also benefit the wider University, as training programmes like this have been proven to lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce.
