Heavy rain is forecast for today. We are keeping the forecast under review and, if weather conditions deteriorate significantly, we will post a further communication using the channels below. As usual, we will try to keep retail and catering outlets open if it is safe to do so.

We will post updates in the following places:

If we do need to restrict activity on campus and in University buildings, we will let you know.

Please take care if you are out and about and avoid areas of localised flooding.

University Staff

Please read the University’s policy on staff attendance during adverse weather conditions. If you think you may need to work away from campus and University buildings, you can prepare to access University systems and applications with your own device.

Please take care when travelling as surface water on roads will be present in some areas.

University Students

Your department may schedule online sessions if in-person welcome activities are not possible due to adverse weather. They will contact you directly if this is the case.

If you need help in your accommodation, please contact ResLife or University Security. If you’re living in the city, your Library card also gives you access to the 24-hour manned support desk in Green Park House.

If you are travelling to Bath today please take extra care and allow extra time, as the rain causes difficult driving conditions. There may also be delays to some train and bus services.
