Thank you to all of our alumni and friends who completed our latest survey in September 2018.

More than 4,500 of you took the time to share with us how you feel about the University of Bath and our engagement programme.

Molly Southwood, Deputy Director & Head of Alumni Engagement, said:

We welcome your feedback - both what's good and what's less good - and have learned a lot from the survey. It will help us to identify ways to enhance the experience of our alumni and friends and to shape our programme of events and engagement opportunities. We're looking forward to keeping you updated on what we can offer to you in the months to come.

Here are some of the headlines from your feedback:

Building a strong connection

You continue to hold the University in high regard. 93% of you agreed or strongly agreed that you are proud of your connection with the University.

Keeping you up to date

81% of you agreed or strongly agreed that you're kept well informed about the University - we’re pleased to hear we’re doing a good job keeping you up to date through BA2 magazine, and our digital and social channels. Find us on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

Many of you told us that you appreciated our decision to ditch BA2's plastic wrapper.

Others suggested that we could reduce BA2's environmental impact further by distributing it online. Each issue of BA2 is available to read online automatically - we'll make sure we're clearer about letting you know in future!

Meeting up at events

92% of you who attended a University event in the last two years intend to come to another. Events with people from your class year are the most popular. Find out how to organise a reunion with your classmates and how we can help

Unfortunately we're unable to organise events local to everyone. However we always try to let you know what's happening in your region, so please let us know if you have moved recently so you can continue to receive invitations to events near to you.

If you travel frequently to a particular region we can add you to the email invitation list for that region - let us know by emailing

Getting involved in our network

More than 2,500 of you would consider, or would be interested in finding out more about sharing your professional experience online. Our Bath Connection system allows you to help current students and fellow graduates on their careers path. Join Bath Connection

1,500 respondents would consider, or would like to find out more about, speaking to students or mentoring in the UK face to face, supporting the University overseas by networking or becoming an alumni ambassador.

Our 50th anniversary programme

88% of survey respondents were aware of the University’s 50th anniversary, which ran from 2016-17. We hope that those of you who managed to take part, virtually or in person, enjoyed the celebrations.
