Sponsored by Discovery Education, the Fair gives everyone the opportunity to network with employers, explore ways to make the most of your summer, and discover how you can enhance your employability. Whether you’re in your first year, or preparing to complete your post graduate studies, the Fair has something for you.

Why visit

The Spring Fair gives you the opportunity to meet organisations offering graduate schemes and jobs, summer opportunities and one-year placements. You’re able to engage directly with employers to discuss application tips, understand the company in more detail, and explore potential career options.

Even if you’re not ready to apply for a role right now, it's a fantastic chance to explore different careers and find opportunities that interest you.

Icebreaker Service

If this is your first time attending a Fair, or you haven't engaged with employers for a while, you might feel that you need some support to start conversations with employers. Our Icebreaker Service Service will:

  • ask you who you want to meet and a bit about your current course
  • introduce you to the employer/s of your choice
  • leave you to have your conversation

If you want to use this service, you can either email us ahead of time via careers@bath.ac.uk or just ask on the day at the Careers desk.

What do I need to do

You don’t need to book a place or download an app; just turn up at the Claverton Rooms on the day. However, to really make the most of the Fair we recommend preparing in advance. Visit MyFuture to find out who is coming so that you can decide who you want to speak to and read our Get Started guide to make the most of your time at the Fair.

Making the Fair Accessible for Everyone

We want all students to feel comfortable and supported at our Career Fair. We know that the busy environment of the Fair can be challenging for some students. If you find busy environments challenging:

  • take time to plan your visit using the employer programme on MyFuture - identifying your priority conversations can help make your experience more focused
  • Careers staff will be available at the entrance to help you and can personally introduce you to employers through our IceBreaker service
  • consider joining us between 11am - 12pm when the atmosphere is typically calmer

Everyone experiences events differently, and we're committed to ensuring you can engage in a way that works for you. If you have any specific accessibility needs or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at careers@bath.ac.uk.
