The Student Blog, coordinated by the Undergraduate Student Recruitment team, aims to let prospective undergraduate students find out more about what it’s like to study at Bath. A wide variety of subjects are covered, including transitioning to university, making friends, student finance, and placement opportunities at Bath.

In January 2019, the Student Blog received over 8,000 views and is fast becoming a valuable source of information, especially for those applicants seeking information directly from our current students.

Commenting on the blog Tom Mason, Social Media Manager, said: 'The blog is a great way for prospective students to learn more about life at Bath through the experiences of our current cohort. It offers advice, guidance and provides an authentic insight into what it’s like to study at the University. In my role at the University, these blogs have been crucial in helping us communicate with prospective students across a wide range of our channels, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.'

Most of our audience discover the Student Blog via Google searches, but we are keen for academics and outreach staff to actively promote the blog during any visits to schools, colleges and HE fairs.

You can help us do this by:

  • Adding a link to the blogs to any relevant communications you send to schools and colleges
  • Promoting the blogs in your presentations to schools and college where appropriate
  • Adding a logo and link to the blogs to your email signature (For the logo and step-by-step instructions on how to do this please email me)
