From Mid November Microsoft are making it easier for meeting organisers to control the Meeting Chat functionality in a Teams meeting, giving you greater control.

What this means

Meeting organisers will have options to control the use of Meeting Chat. It will be ON by default but the organiser will be able to switch chat OFF completely, or only allow chat while the meeting is running.
