Following feedback from our students, and with the support of the SU, the University is pleased to announce a fast-track hardship fund for students who have experienced hardship as a result of self isolating. Hardship may result due to being unable to work, lack of access to sick pay or other financial support schemes or for other reasons. This fund aims to make a payment within one week.

Applications can be considered for periods of self-isolation dating back to the beginning of term and this scheme is available on a trial basis and will be reviewed over the following three weeks.

To make an application, please find out more . Applications can also be made to the standard Hardship Fund, if your financial difficulties are longer term in nature, including as a result of the current national restrictions. If you have any financial concerns a quick chat with a Student Money Adviser can start to put things back on track. You can speak to an adviser at one of our drop-in sessions.
