Business World (Agresso) is the University finance system.

Why is Business World (Agresso) being updated

Business World (Agresso) is scheduled to be updated to a newer version. The update will allow more functionality and integration with other systems in the future.

When will Business World (Agresso) be unavailable

Business World (Agresso) is scheduled to be unavailable from Friday 10 until and including Monday 13 March.

How you may be affected

Business World (Agresso) will be unavailable which means you will not be able to use Business World (Agresso) at all including completing the following common actions:

  • Managing expenses and claiming expenses as a University staff member
  • Purchasing products or services from the Marketplace including catering orders
  • Order goods and services from internal suppliers
  • Creating sales orders / Invoicing customers
  • Research costing tool (PAM)
  • Entering expense claims
  • Food Direct / KX

Proposal to Award Management System (PAM)

During this period of downtime PAM will also be unavailable for all aspects of proposal budgets.

Costings can not be accessed at all, not even for the purposes of reference. Submit any costings, which relate to proposals that require submission to funder, for internal approval before the outage period.

Budget Reporting and Departmental Monitoring Reporting

You will still be able to use the PI Budget Report tool, this will be up to date as of Thursday 9 March.

Both the Head of Department and Budget Holders reporting tools using Power BI will be unaffected by this downtime.

Purchasing during update

Ensure all routine purchases are made before the downtime occurs. Department Credit Cards can still be used, but do not make purchases that would normally be made through Agresso via Purchase Order. If an urgent requirement emerges during the downtime, please contact Procurement for further guidance.

AHS hospitality outlets will receive specific instructions on ordering during this downtime, please contact the Commercial Finance team for further advice.
